In this blog post, I want to share one tool that has made a massive difference for my team and me: Plannerly.
My Role As A BIM Manager
As a BIM manager, I am always on the lookout for tools and software that can help me streamline my workflows and improve the efficiency of my team. That’s why I am a big fan of Plannerly for all of our BIM management tasks.
One of the critical features of Plannerly that I love is the ability to create a BIM Execution Plan (BEP) with a single click within the platform.
The BEP is an essential document that outlines the goals and objectives of our BIM project, as well as the roles and responsibilities of each team member. It is a critical component of any BIM project, and being able to create and manage it within Plannerly makes it so much easier for me to keep track of everything.
In addition to the BEP, Plannerly also allows me to define the Level of Detail (LOD) required for our modeling. This is super important because it ensures that we are requiring all the necessary data and information in our models and that we are able to deliver a high-quality product with the right data to our clients.
But perhaps the biggest advantage of using Plannerly for our BIM management tasks is the Verify module. This powerful part of the Plannerly workflow automatically checks our models for errors and inconsistencies, saving us loads of time and effort.
As a BIM manager, I can’t tell you how much of a lifesaver this has been. No longer do I have to spend hours combing through our models looking for mistakes – Plannerly does a lot of it for me.
